Support and error reports

A bank this size will contain an error somewhere. Finding them is how the product gets better, so the reporting path is short and the answer to a good report is a fix, not a form letter.

(describe it here)

---
App version and device: (please add, e.g. iOS 18.4, iPhone 15, app 1.0.0)
Where you saw it: practice / mock / review / website

Include these four things

  1. The question ID. Without it we are searching the whole bank by feel. With it we go straight to the item, its answer, its explanation and its review history.
  2. What you believe the answer is, and why. A reasoned disagreement is more useful than "this seems wrong", even when you turn out to be mistaken - the item still gets re-read.
  3. Exact wording that confused you. Quote the phrase. Ambiguity in English is the single most common defect in a written bank, and it needs to be seen to be fixed.
  4. App version, device and where you saw it. Practice, mock, review, or this website. Figure items in particular need to be checked on the screen size they were reported on.

Please do not send

Your Social Security number, date of birth, a photograph of an official score report, or anything from a test you have taken. None of it is needed to fix a question, and once it is in your mail client's outbox it is outside our control.

Other routes

  • App Store reviews reach us, but they are a poor way to report a specific item - there is no thread and no ID. Mail is better.
  • Purchase, refund and restore problems are handled by Apple (and Google when the Play listing is live). ASVAB Pilot cannot see or change a store transaction. The app's Restore purchase button is the first thing to try.
  • Official test questions - format, accommodations, scheduling, score meaning - are answered by the official administrator, not by us. Start at officialasvab.com.

Common questions

Before you write

How fast do you answer?

Support mail is read by the person who builds the product. Expect a reply within a few days; anything that looks like a wrong answer in a published question gets triaged first because it affects what other people are learning.

What happens when I report a question?

The item is pulled by its ID and re-verified independently against its source note and answer. If it is wrong or ambiguous, it is fixed and its version number increases, or it is retired so it stops appearing in new sessions. Because mock sessions store a snapshot of the version served, a correction never rewrites a report you already have.

Where do I find the question ID?

In the app it is shown in the question header or the answer review screen, in the form ar-0042 or mk-0118 - a subtest prefix and a four-digit number. On this website the ID is in the page source of each worked example.

Can you tell me what score I need to enlist?

No. That is a question for the official ASVAB administrator and your recruiter, because minimums and credential tiers change with recruiting needs. We can explain what the numbers on your score report mean generally, on the scores page, but we cannot and will not tell you what you qualify for.

I deleted my account and want my data gone now

Deletion in the app cascades through the server immediately. If you cannot reach the app - lost phone, no signal - mail support@asvabpilot.com from the address you signed up with and say so; account deletion is the response, and it is not something we argue about.
